Event Announcement
To enhance the cancer research capacity of Kaohsiung Medical University and promote cross-team and cross-generational collaboration and exchange, the Office of Research and Development has launched the “Cancer Research Meetup” (癌研交流小聚) since November 2025.
We are honored to invite Chair Professor Li-Tsung Chen to provide professional consultation and research guidance. Faculty members and researchers engaged in cancer-related research across the University and affiliated hospitals are warmly invited to join these regular gatherings, where participants can share their research, exchange ideas, and learn from one another to further advance their knowledge and expertise.
🌟 Chair Professor Li-Tsung Chen currently serves as the Director of the Cancer Research Center at Kaohsiung Medical University and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Institute of Cancer Research, National Health Research Institutes (NHRI). He has devoted many years to clinical and translational research in gastrointestinal cancers, including gastric and pancreatic cancers, and has extensive experience in precision medicine, clinical trials of novel therapeutics, and genomic analysis.
With his strong background bridging clinical practice and cutting-edge research, Professor Chen has long been committed to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and nurturing research talent. In 2025, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Taiwan Society of Cancer Medicine, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to cancer research.

Research teams across the University and affiliated hospitals are welcome to register for available time slots to present and exchange ideas. If you wish to modify your registration, please submit the form again; the latest submission will be taken as the final version.

📅 Meetup Schedule:
The meetup is tentatively scheduled for one Wednesday each month from 12:00 to 15:00, subject to adjustment based on actual circumstances.

👥 Format:
Both basic and clinical research teams are welcome to register for presentations and discussions. Each team will have approximately 30–40 minutes for sharing and discussion.

The “Cancer Research Meetup” provides a relaxed, interactive, and inspiring platform for research exchange.
