The University is now accepting online applications for the 2026 Academic Year “New Faculty Project.” Interested faculty members are required to submit the project proposal and relevant documents by 5:00 p.m. on September 30 (Wednesday) in accordance with the application requirements. Incomplete applications or late submissions will not be accepted.
Eligibility
Full-time faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor or above who have been newly appointed within the past two years may apply in accordance with the regulations.
Applicants must provide proof of having submitted a research proposal to a government agency. Applications without such proof will not be accepted.

After the announcement is issued, please log in to the University Administrative System, T.3.0.27 – Applied Project Registration, to register and upload the project proposal and relevant documents.

【Project Principal Investigator Fee】 NEW ~ Effective from the 2026 Academic Year

Faculty members who receive funding under the New Faculty Project during the first and second years may apply for an additional Principal Investigator Fee of NT$15,000 per month.

In the third year of appointment, newly appointed faculty members who receive funding from a National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) project or an on-campus/inter-university project coordinated by the Office of Research and Development, and who serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project, may apply directly to the Office of Research and Development from the date of this announcement. Applicants must submit the [Principal Investigator Fee Application Form] and relevant supporting documents.
The application deadline is the same as that for the New Faculty Project. For details, please refer to the [Guidelines for Subsidies for New Faculty Special Projects].

Eligibility is limited to full-time faculty members in basic science disciplines. Pre-appointed faculty members and attending physicians jointly appointed by the University and its affiliated system hospitals who hold full-time faculty qualifications are not eligible.
【NT$100,000 Flexible Start-Up Fund】

Newly appointed Assistant Professors or above in their first year may apply to the Office of Research and Development within one month from the date of appointment. Each newly appointed faculty member may receive this subsidy once only.
