研究方向:

    (A) 糖尿病是造成末期腎病之主要因素,但是造成糖尿病腎病變之致病機轉尚未完全明瞭,本實驗室長久以來致力於以高糖及高度糖化終產物模擬糖尿病情況,研究其對腎臟細胞造成之影響,特別是對生長因子、細胞訊息傳遞及其下游基因調控的影響,以明瞭糖尿病腎病變之致病機轉,並尋找特異性之抑制劑及建立基因治療,進而配合糖尿病鼠之動物模式,探討致病因子及評估治療成效。

    (B) 肝癌之癌化過程常伴隨肝細胞之纖維化,本實驗室以肝癌病人、肝癌細胞及正常肝細胞為材料,探討生長因子及訊息傳遞之變化,並研究造成肝癌細胞自然死亡之機轉及造成肝細胞纖維化之分子機轉,將可進一步了解肝癌化、肝硬化及抗肝癌細胞生長之關鍵性因素。

    (C) 探討天然藥物萃取純化合物對乳癌抑癌作用之分子機轉,同時與臨床用藥相比較,開發抗乳癌新藥物。

    (D) 檳榔鹼對肝細胞傷害分子機轉之探討及其致肝細胞纖維化與致癌角色的研究。
