Special Lecture by the Center for Multi-omics Research in Diseases – October 1, 2026 (Thu.)
【Center for Multi-omics Research in Diseases Special Lecture】
With the advancement of precision medicine, multi-omics has become an important strategy for understanding disease mechanisms and promoting clinical translation. However, gaps remain between genomic and transcriptomic information and actual physiological functions. As an integrated outcome of multiple levels of biological regulation, proteomics can more closely reflect the functional state of diseases and provide clinically meaningful molecular information.
This lecture will introduce Olink’s proteomics platform, which is based on Proximity Extension Assay (PEA) technology and combines high sensitivity, high specificity, and high-throughput capabilities to enable large-scale protein quantification using small sample volumes. The lecture will also explore its applications in drug target identification, biomarker discovery, disease stratification, and translational research, as well as the potential of integrating proteomic and genomic data to advance precision medicine.
