- The program aims to address key challenges and promote technological innovation through precision matter manipulation technologies to tackle critical issues in net-zero carbon emissions and precision health management. The program focuses on elucidating mechanisms at the atomic and molecular levels and developing innovative precision manipulation technologies, with molecular editing and structural control as core areas. It further extends to the design of reaction systems and detection strategies. The program seeks to advance practical translational outcomes in sustainable net-zero carbon emissions and precision health management, respond to societal needs, and contribute to meaningful progress in future technological development.
- The research areas solicited under this program are divided into two major fields:
- High-Efficiency Energy Reuse and Negative Carbon Strategy Technologies
- Precision Health Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies
- Concept proposals recommended following review will be followed by notification from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) to the principal investigators and implementing institutions to submit full proposals. The program is expected to commence on August 1, 2027, and will be implemented as a multi-year project subject to annual approval. For further details regarding the call for proposals, please refer to the attached document.
- Application Deadline: Concept proposals are accepted from now until November 11, 2026 (Wednesday). Applicants should submit their proposals online through the NSTC system under “Special Research Projects / Concept Proposal Project Category – Precision Matter Manipulation Program Concept Proposal.” Online submission is completed upon final submission through the system.
