利用鉍鹽建構含氧雜環化合物

利用鉍鹽建構含氧雜環化合物

市售之鉍鹽具有抑制小腸分泌及抗菌之作用,能用於預防及治療旅行者腹瀉。因其使用方便、環保又有效率,故自1980年代起,漸漸被應用到有機合成上。含氧雜環結構出現在許多具潛力之活性分子、合成化學和許多其他材料領域中。以往合成含氧雜環需要使用昂貴的金屬錯合物或具毒性之試劑,直到現在,透過鉍鹽建構雜環化合物仍然是合成化學中重要的挑戰。高醫大張夢揚教授和薛乃真博士以三氟磺酸鉍誘導苯醚鍵斷裂,並與含磺酸基官能化,在溫和的反應條件下合成了新型含氧雜環化合物。這類化合物的藥物活性測試正在進行中。

Construction of oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds using bismuth salts

        Commercially available bismuth salts have the ability to inhibit small intestinal secretion and have antibacterial effects, and can prevent and treat travellers' diarrhea. Since the 1980s, it has been gradually used in organic synthesis because it is easy to use, environmentally friendly and efficient. Oxygen-containing heterocyclic structures appear in many potentially active molecules, synthetic chemistry, and many other fields of materials. In the past, the synthesis of oxygen-containing heterocycles required the use of expensive metal complexes or toxic reagents. Until now, the construction of heterocyclic compounds through bismuth salts has remained an important challenge in synthetic chemistry. Professor Meng-Yang Chang and Dr. Nai-Chen Hsueh of the Kaohsiung Medical University used bismuth triflate to induce the cleavage of the phenyl ether bond, and followed the functionalization process with sulfonyl-containing derivatives to synthesize novel oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds under mild reaction conditions. Testing of the pharmaceutical activity of this class of compounds is ongoing.
